Sample Ultralight Endorsements
Pre Solo Endorsement:
This is to certify that (student name) has successfully passed the pre-solo written examination required prior to an initial solo flight in (specific make and model) vehicle.
Pre Solo Endorsement:
This is to certify that (student name) has been given the requisite instruction in accordance with FAR 61.87and FAA Exemption #______, and is considered prepared to conduct an initial solo flight in (specific make and model) vehicle. No additional solo flights are authorized without additional instruction and authorization.
Pre Solo Endorsement (alternative): This is to certify that Mr./Ms. __________________ has satisfactorily completed the required training, oral and written examination required by the EAA Ultralight Training Program and is considered competent to complete the first solo flight in a (make)__________________ and (model) _______________ ultralight vehicle.
Subsequent Solo Endorsement:
This is to certify that (student name) has been given the requisite instruction in accordance with FAR 61.87and FAA Exemption #_____, and has demonstrated proficiency in those areas of required knowledge and flight maneuvers. Solo (ONLY OCCUPANT) flights during daylight hours and with VFR conditions are authorized in a (specific make and model) vehicle within a ______ mile radius of _________ airport, while under my supervision for a period of no more than (maximum of 90) days.
Subsequent Solo Endorsement (alternative): I have
given Mr./Ms. _____________________ the ground and flight training required by
the EAA Ultralight Training Program and he/she has demonstrated proficiency in
the applicable maneuvers and procedures and is considered competent to make
solo (ONLY occupant) flights in a (make and model of vehicle).
Solo Cross Country Endorsement (one occurrence):
This is to certify that (student name) has completed the requirements of FAR 61.93 and FAA Exemption #_____, and has demonstrated proficiency in those areas of required knowledge and flight maneuvers. Student is considered competent to conduct a SOLO cross country flight from ___________ to _________ and return on (date) subject to my review and approval of the student’s flight planning and weather conditions.
Solo Cross Country Endorsement (ongoing): This is to certify that (student name) has completed the requirements of FAR 61.93 and FAA Exemption #_____, and is considered competent to conduct a SOLO cross country flights in daylight and VFR conditions subject to my approval.
Recommendation to take the Pilot Practical Test: This is
to certify that Mr./Ms. __________________ has met the experience requirements
for the Ultralight Pilot rating and has been given the required training and
is considered competent to successfully pass the Oral and Practical test for
the Ultralight Pilot rating in a (make)______________ (model)___________
ultralight.
Results of PTS: This

and Practical test for the EAA Ultralight Pilot rating in a
